Hubble holds first Office of the Future Awards
The first awards recognising the flexible workspaces across London
Categories from Design of the Future to Earth Friendly and Health and Wellness
Initiatives such as rooftop running tracks, 1,000 pot plants and first-of-its kind cooling systems
Hubble, the digital office broker, has hosted the first and only awards which recognise the most innovative flexible workspaces in London. The Hubble Office of the Future Awards (HOFFAs) were attended by over 100 figures from the flexible workspace industry, celebrating areas from legal to design.
The awards were judged by an independent panel of industry experts who extensively reviewed the twelve categories, which ranged from the community focus of an office to its dedication to hospitality. The awards culminated in Hubble’s Office of the Future 2019 award which was won by LABS House – coworking and serviced offices with an on-site restaurant, bar, event space and panoramic views.
Other winners included WeWork Poultry for ‘Iconic Space of the Year’, having managed to infiltrate one of London’s most dominant and distinctive buildings within the financial district. Second Home picked up the ‘Earth-Friendly Award’ for its plant-filled workspaces: over 1,000 pot plants and trees have been installed in the space. White Collar Factor was awarded the Design of the Future Award: its cooling system is one of the first of its kind in Central London and it has a rooftop running track.
The panel of impartial judges included Dara Huang, founder of Design Haus Liberty; Juliette Morgan, a property technology specialist and former Head of Property for Tech City UK; Vanessa Butz, CEO and founder of District Technologies; Rajdeep Gahir, co-founder of Vivahouse co-living who led WeWork’s London and European roll-out; Rebekah Tobias, Head of Investor Relations at Tunstall Real Estate and Tushar Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of Hubble.
Tushar Agarwal, CEO and co-founder of Hubble, said: “Ten years ago, the prediction was the death of the office. The rise of technology and flexible working meant that the ‘corner office’ set-up was becoming obsolete. Since then, the entire sector has been turned upside down and London has been the driving force in completely re-imagining what an office looks like. Now, our workspaces are more important than ever and with these awards, we have been able to reward the unsung heroes transforming the industry.”
