The formation has continued since Beyonce created the incredible Lemonade album a year ago. In celebration Beyonce has announced the establishment of Formation Scholars Awards for the 2017/2018 academic year. The scholarships are to support young women who are prepared to go beyond the norm, by being bold, creative and confident in who they are.

Four women will be gifted a Formation Scholarship, one per college, specifically for female incoming, current or graduate students pursuing studies in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies.

The schools selected for participation:

·      Berklee College of Music

·      Howard University

·      Parsons School of design

·      Spelman College
