More than 5,000 job opportunities on offer at Ireland’s biggest ever Tech Hiring Event

Dublin Tech Summit (DTS) has confirmed a brand new partnership with careers marketplace Jobbio, to bring their signature jobs fair, HIGHER, to Dublin for the very first time. The job fair will run as part of the Dublin Tech Summit on April 10th and 11th in the RDS and will host more than 70 companies with over 5,000 jobs on offer.

Jobbio’s unique job fair format has already garnered support from some of the leading tech companies in London, and proven to be a fantastic forum for companies and talent to meet and connect. Previous attendees include Airbnb, Barclays and WeWork.

Headquartered in Dublin, Jobbio is a careers marketplace and inbound hiring platform which connects the best talent with the most innovative companies. The brand reaches a talent base of over 100 million people and is trusted by 6,000 companies globally. HIGHER is a live depiction of how users interact on the platform every day.

Commenting on the decision to partner with Jobbio,  Dublin Tech Summit’s CEO Will Brightling said, “Few businesses can thrive without the right technology skills, and yet IT is a part of the Dublin ecosystem that continues to grow and seek out people with those skills. Our team has attended HIGHER London, and after seeing the open interaction with candidates, we knew we wanted to join forces with Jobbio for DTS19, and replicate that recruitment climate for companies to harness the talents that the tech community have here in Dublin. The best and brightest of the Irish and European tech industry will be at the event, and we hope that this jobs fair element will continue to foster innovation and open doors.”

Jobbio’s CEO Stephen Quinn said “Over the last two years we have watched DTS become one of Europe's largest tech conferences, and as the Irish tech industry continues to flourish we feel now is the perfect time to bring our proven format home to Dublin. In London, we have found the informal tech-to-tech approach has been a success in overcoming barriers, and participating companies have embraced the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with candidates, and understand what they look for in new jobs.”

Jobbio will enable companies participating in HIGHER Dublin to gather applications and then build a talent pool for immediate or future use. Applicants will be able to speak directly to the companies that interest them and apply to positions on the spot via their phone.

With over 12,000 people expected to attend the two-day event, this is the perfect opportunity for companies struggling to find specialist candidates.

Andrea Guzzoni, of Rentuu, who participated in HIGHER London 2018 commented “We’ve been to a couple of Jobbio events before. Both great. And you know why? The energy. There’s nothing better than halls upon halls full of - be it recent graduates, well-versed professionals, or even those looking for a career change - individuals ready for a new challenge. Even those who are just there for a ride. The event implores a certain type of person and such is reason we keep coming back. We met an awe-inducing amount of truly remarkable people; each and everyone sincerely interested in us as a company.”

DTS has had two successful years on Ireland’s Silicon Docks and has been hailed as Europe’s fastest growing tech event. For its third year, the event will move to the RDS,  with a particular focus on Tech for Good, Blockchain, AI and 5G, among other topics.

Speakers from companies such as Samsung, NASA, Google, VICE, Mercedez Benz, Circle & 500 Startups, as well as hackathons and workshops, promise to make DTS19 the most exciting event to date.

DTS have already made a limited number of Super Early Bird tickets available for €188 which you can get here, while the HIGHER Jobs Fair will be free of charge.
