Yorkshire PR Agency ‘Snaps’ up Major International Business Win

Leeds based integrated communications agency, Prohibition, is celebrating this month after scooping another significant contract win with the UK arm of Europe’s largest photo printing specialist CEWE.

Winning the pitch against hot competition, the new contract will further bolster Prohibition’s booming consumer retail division which has grown by more than 50% in the last two years.

CEWE has more than 50 years of experience in all things photo printing and this new contract will see Prohibition delivering several integrated marketing campaigns for CEWE during 2019-2020, which will include the ideation, creation and development of the brand’s first ever national TV advertisement.

The Leeds agency, which has had another record year, will also be managing the television advertising campaign, media relations and several other integrated tactics such as the content development and delivery and strategic influencer relations in partnership with CEWE’s inhouse team.

Clare Moreton, Digital Marketing Director at CEWE, commented: “We first worked with Prohibition on our 2018 Christmas project, and were seriously impressed by their innovative approach to digital communications. The integrated campaign they delivered for us was very KPI focussed and it helped us to increase our year-on-year sales. We’re extremely excited about this year for the CEWE brand in the UK and we are looking forward to seeing how these new communications campaigns are welcomed by our customers this Christmas.”

Chris Norton, Managing Director at Prohibition, added: “CEWE is a huge international brand in Europe – it is absolutely massive in Germany and we are really relishing the opportunity to help them increase their brand exposure right here in the UK. Last year was good to start in getting some kind of traction for the brand but now we are hoping that this year will be even better with heaps of clever ideas being put into practice by the account team.”

The CEWE account win sees Prohibition enhance its reputation as a leader in integrated communications. The brand sits amongst several other household and Highstreet names in Prohibition’s portfolio including Goldsmiths, Interflora, Lloyds Pharmacy, Games Workshop and Barbour.

Prohibition was listed by PR Week in the top 150 consultancies in the UK for the first time in April and is also listed in Prolific North’s Top 20 PR agencies in the North of the country.
