I’m Cat Gazzoli, founder of Piccolo. My love of food started in my family’s grocery shop in the mountains of Italy and this led to an early career in food, which kicked off at the tender age of 21.
Urban Rajah is a food adventurer, travel junkie and treats moustache wax with a sacred reverence. When Urban Rajah isn’t writing about food he’s found running his pop up restaurant, Great Indian Food Feast or presenting recipes to spice lusting crowd.
As a business we are super passionate about food and drink. We know how hard it is to startup and want to make sure we pay it forward by helping people on the way up (we were helped ourselves) and also supporting our friends working hard to make it within the community.
We are sisters-in-law with a huge passion for balance, moderation and adopting a healthy lifestyle that is achievable and that you will be able to go the distance with. We believe it’s about simple swaps; taking the stairs instead of the escalator or swapping fries for some greens.
My mum inspired Apesnacks! We’ve always eaten according to the Paleo diet in my family and, the summer before I was supposed to go to uni, my took some coconut flakes, threw them in a pan with cinnamon and salt and toasted them up. They were seriously good. With some tweaking, I thought I could turn them into a product!
My name is Martin Murray and I am the proud owner of Dunnet Bay Distillers Ltd. We distill Rock Rose Gin in Caithness at the most northerly mainland distillery, which we designed and built last year.
I’m James Shillcock, 27, from London. I founded Vivid 2 years ago. I love food and drinks, start-ups, entrepreneurs, innovation, ambitious people, psychology and behavioural economics. I’m optimistic and paranoid in equal measure!
Imran is the co-founder of Jealous Sweets; Jealous was created when Imran came to crossroads in his life: should he continue to slave away behind the confines of his desk or chase the girl of his dreams?
This duo came about during the balmy summer of 1993 when our parents met and we were forced to be friends. We’ve always been terrible at making friends so we just put up with each other.
