In 2008 I started Naked and after 10 years I sold that business. Kosan Travel is my latest start-up and I’ve filmed a documentary about the importance of travel as a way of educating children to become citizens of the world and published my first book, Getting Naked in January 2021, and I also speak publicly.

Where to start? I’m 40, blonde and wildly ambitions. I have known for years that the lynchpin of dis-ease is trauma. My background has always been in travel. Before moving to the United Kingdom in 2002 I was selling holidays as my job in Pakistan’s Punjab province. When I came to the UK I didn’t speak English, so I learned the language by keeping the television on day and night with the subtitles running.

We are Mat Hunter and Paul Rostas, co-founders and co-CEOs of Plus X. (Mat) Design and innovation have been central to my entire career. I studied interaction design at the Royal College of Art in the early nineties and went on to begin my career in Silicon Valley working with innovation firm IDEO, designing pioneering consumer digital and physical products and services.

I’m Mike Feerick, CEO & Founder of Alison.com, an educational technology company. Alison has 16 million learners in 195 countries. It provides free learning for basic education and workplace skills with over two million graduates of its 1,500+ free courses.

From the very beginning we’ve had a shared ethos of just wanting to do good. We toyed with some initial ideas for the social enterprise that included clothing, chocolate and beer but quickly realised that was already being done - and pretty well at that. We thought harder about what folks do every day and what would inspire repeat purchases… The light bulb moment came from “have a good wash”.
