Local entrepreneur celebrates 21 years of Early Music Development

Inspired musical entrepreneur and businesswoman Kathy Doolan from Solihull, is thrilled to be marking an incredible milestone as she celebrates 21 years of her brand, Rhythm Time, this October.

During the last two decades Kathy has developed a truly remarkable business, now comprising an incredible 40 franchises, that between them capture the hearts of over 11,000 babies, toddlers & pre-schoolers across the UK and Ireland every week.

Originally a music teacher, Kathy is a lifelong lover of music and in 1995  she founded the very first Rhythm Time class in Solihull. As well as building a national network of franchise owners, Kathy also has a fabulous team of 6 at the company’s head office in The Midlands. Add to this a prestigious collaboration with the London College of Music (Junior Department) and the support of celebrity mums including Coleen Rooney; it’s little wonder Kathy’s brand has thrived for over two decades!

Kathy and her team take great pride in delivering award-winning classes throughout the country. Each session is thoughtfully curated using music to facilitate early child development and to nurture a love of music and singing. Over the 21 years, Rhythm Time has had a truly exciting journey, introducing over 200,000 little ones since it first opened its doors!

Kathy’s success continues to be recognised throughout the industry, with a number of accolades including a recent shortlisting in the Best Business Women Awards 2017 for her work introducing children to music. Commenting on the outstanding achievement of Rhythm Time, Founder Kathy Doolan said:

‘I am absolutely delighted with the success of Rhythm Time. What started as a dream has now become the passion of nearly 40 dedicated franchisees all over the country. I am so proud of our franchise family and have been overwhelmed by their support, enthusiasm and ongoing success. To nurture young children's musical development is an honour, and I hope that families in the UK continue to enjoy attending our classes for another 21 years to come!’

In honour of the achievement Kathy and each individual franchise will be hosting a national week-long timetable of music and fun across the UK and Ireland this month to celebrate!
