Lost Rivers Leake Street: The Story So Far

Lost Rivers Leake Street: The Story So Far

Following the news last month concerning Shout About London’s affiliation with new venue, Lost Rivers Leake Street, the dynamic creative agency are thrilled to release the latest happenings at the underground hotspot.

Boasting a whopping 13,000 sq ft space on the iconic Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel, last night saw the venue transformed for the much-anticipated Adidas Deerupt launch. The perfect location for the urban streetwear brand, Lost Rivers Leake Street oozed street cred as DJ Tiffany Calvert took to the decks followed by a sleek set from IAMDDB. British rapper Stefflon Don was the main act of the evening, performing to an exclusive 200 guests comprising of brand ambassadors, models, press and industry players. This evening, Thursday 22nd March, will see the event open up to a larger crowd, including Adidas competition winners.

Back in February, the venue embraced its couture fashion face with the Marques Almeida AW18 catwalk show. An on-schedule appearance for the brand during LFW, Lost Rivers Leake Street’s 4 striking interlocked arches became the setting for a large-scale catwalk. As each model weaved their way through the ‘cavernous concrete hellhole’ (according to Vogue), a looped vt played on the exposed brick walls.

A first for the London based agency, who have long had their sights set on opening a venue, Shout About have grandiose plans for the newly acquired property.

Offering the venue for exclusive hire during the current (phase 1) of the project, the property will be transitioned from its existing ‘blank canvas’ state, to a multi-purpose destination venue with onsite bar, restaurant, brewery and 3 dedicated event spaces.

We’re looking to help create a space that epitomises everything we love about London; craft beer, great food, cool events and awesome live music! We’ve spent the last four years, educating people on where to go in London; now we’re amalgamating these experiences in to one giant ‘place to be’” – Stuart Groves, Head of Vibe, Shout About.

An admirable pairing of brands, Lost Rivers Brewing Company will construct a fully working brewery on-site, which will become their flagship venue. This intricate brewing area will be an added attraction for the venue, with a clear glass wall allowing full disclosure of the production. In addition, guided tours and tastings will be offered and can be worked into event hire.

We’ve had these opportunities in the past, but have held off for the right partnership.

Both Shout About and the Lost Rivers Brewing Company are passionate about bringing people together, telling a powerful story and of course, using London as a canvas for creativity. It just works. Plus, we all like a beer as well.” – Stuart Groves, Head of Vibe, Shout About.

A vibrant, urban landscape, which has already seen much investment for regeneration, the Leake Street Arches represent a celebration of art and entertainment. Known as the “Graffiti Tunnel”, one of only a handful of approved street art and graffiti areas in the capital, the location already attracts edgy and creative types alike. The aspiration for Lost Rivers Leake Street is to help further establish the neighbourhood through live music, collaborations and one-off events (both public and private).

With a frenzy of activity already taking place, by way of further fashion events (we are told there was multiple brands fighting for the space) and prestige launches, Lost Rivers Leake Street is the venue to watch for 2018!
