Leading online training provider High Speed Training announces B Corp certification

High Speed Training, a leading provider of online training and e-learning, has been certified as a B Corporation, underlining the company’s commitment to creating positive impacts on its staff, customers and the environment.

The certification scheme, which is run by global non-profit B Lab, ensures that a business meets high standards of social and environmental impact, focusing on a company’s approach to its governance, customers, environment and communities.

High Speed Training, who have certified over 2.5 million learners since 2008, received the certification following a wide-ranging assessment of their working practices, including their approaches to staff wellbeing, impact on wider communities, customer satisfaction and environmental impacts.

In recent years, High Speed Training have run a number of initiatives to support communities, including donating over £400,000 worth of PPE training for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and creating a free Safeguarding in Sport course with former England footballer and abuse survivor Paul Stewart.

In 2018, the company introduced a profit-share scheme that aims to give their colleagues a stake in the business. Other benefits offered to employees include free life insurance, access to free, confidential counselling sessions and employee assistance programs.

In the most recent results from industry body Best Companies, High Speed Training placed 39 in the Top 50 Best Mid Sized companies to work for in the UK, 18th in the top 25 for Yorkshire and Humberside and 4th in Education and Training organisations in the UK.

Dan Jordan, Founder of High Speed Training, said: “We are honoured that High Speed Training has become part of the B CorpTMfamily. It’s testament to the years of hard work that have gone into building a customer-focused company that truly values its employees and the wider communities that we are a part of.

We’re incredibly proud of the culture that has been built here over the last 15 years, and achieving BCorp status shows our commitment to continuing this journey.

“For us, a successful business is one that has people at its heart, whether that is our colleagues and the communities we live in, or each and every one of our 2.5million learners. Being recognised as a B CorpTM  aligns so closely with our values as a business - it’s a goal that we always wanted to achieve. To be able to join the community of thousands of like-minded businesses worldwide is a real privilege.”
