The global outbreak of Covid-19 has left young people in the UK more disenfranchised than ever, but student task app, UniTaskr, is proving to be a lifeline for many with its new, novel way of helping students to earn money.

Number 1 lifestyle app, UniTaskr, was founded in 2016 by university students Joseph Black & Oliver Jacobs who sought to create a marketplace where freelance students could connect with households and businesses that needed a fast and affordable way to get more done.  Including services such as graphic design, blogging, help with shopping and gardening etc.

Since its foundation five years ago, the student marketplace has grown to service a wide range of clients including the likes of: Groupon, Audio-Techica, Oxford Notebooks & more. The platform has amassed a network, exceeding 50,000 students nationwide, having seen over £1.5 million worth of tasks presented to the UK student economy within the past 6 months.

As well as its student marketplace, UniTaskr is also helping global brands tap into the student demographic, through a marketing offering of their own called SHOUT. SHOUT taps into UniTaskr’s vast network of students as an army of nano-influencers, who collectively have over 50 million trusted followers. The idea being to place the power back into the consumers hands, in turn forming a new generation of loyal brand advocates. At present, SHOUT obtains the world’s largest network of student influencers.

Co-founder of UniTaskr & SHOUT, Joseph Black said, “despite the global pandemic our business is thriving. Many businesses are looking to freelancers to fill the gaps in their workforce and we’re perfectly positioned to help them find the right people for the job.

Co-Founder of UniTaskr & SHOUT, Oliver Jacobs continues “The gig economy doesn’t look to be going anywhere fast and we’re determined to continue to help both students and businesses tap into a new way of working.”

Over the past few months, UniTaskr has amassed significant global interest, with the UniTaskr team now preparing for its international expansion.

UniTaskr can be accessed via both website and app. Unitaskr and is available on both Android and IOS app stores.
