Powered Now, a tech startup based in the UK and Hungary, has announced the launch of its second investment pitch on Crowdcube. After a highly successful pitch in the summer of 2014, which saw the team raise £585,000, Powered Now is aiming to raise a further £350,000. The pitch is open to anyone interested in this startup’s disruptive technology and the capital raised will be used for further marketing and development of this award-winning app.

What is Powered Now?

Powered Now is a mobile admin application aimed at sole traders and small firms of plumbers, electricians, builders, and the like, who work mostly from either their customer’s premises or a van.

Powered Now offers a solution to the problem of paperwork for these individuals. The app computerises administrative tasks, such as diary managing, quoting, invoicing, and taking electronic payments. All information is gathered in one place and is backed up to the cloud, meaning it’s accessible from different devices.

The pitch

Powered Now is looking to secure a minimum of £350,000 on Crowdcube in return for 10.8% equity. Investors can put in anything from £10 upwards in return for shares.

With over 30,000 users registered worldwide with the app, it’s no surprise that Powered Now has gained wide recognition. In 2013, the app won Microsoft Bizspark best mobile app; in 2014 Powered Now was Crowdcube’s Startup of the Year; and in 2015 was featured as Apple’s best new business app.
