Urban Splash appoints Code Computerlove to drive organisational change
Two creative Northern businesses have partnered as award-winning regeneration company Urban Splash has appointed design and innovation agency Code Computerlove with a service design brief.
Code's remit will be to work with internal teams at Urban Splash to drive organisational change within the business, focusing on bringing siloed digital systems together to improve operational efficiencies.
The service design programme will see Code deliver an operational service map and analyse backstage services, enabling Urban Splash to prioritise opportunities and set a trajectory for future investment.
Jessica Sherratt, Head of User Experience at Code, said: "As a long-established Manchester-based business, we're excited to partner with Urban Splash on their organisational change journey. We're ready to dive in, identify focus areas, save time and reduce system expenditure whilst driving valuable change.
"This brief scratches the surface of what we can achieve through human-centred service design, and we're looking forward to collaborating more closely with the team over the coming months."
Jason Byrne, Head of Digital at Urban Splash, added: "We are a property brand, passionate about design and partnering with like-minded organisations who can help our business evolve. We are excited to work with Code as we transform our internal ways of working to deliver the best experience possible for our teams."
The activity with Urban Splash will begin with a 'day zero' workshop, a bespoke method designed by Code to get under the skin of the service design brief, align with stakeholders and set objectives.
The appointment comes off the back of Code's recent service design research, revealing that one-third of leaders responsible for change initiatives couldn't define service design, and 40% don't know the impact that service design initiatives have.
