A new social media platform that pays has been launched by a Nigerian blogger

Linda Akeli has been blogging for over 10 years and has earned millions doing what she loves. With over a million Twitter followers as well as over 800 thousand Instagram followers, she has a lot to be proud of.

After taking over the blogging world, she is ready to rival Facebook with the launch of a social media platform called Linda Ikeli Social that has already achieved over 86,000 sign-ups within 6 days of launch. The former model created this network to offer something offers don't; a one-stop shop for everything online.

With a tremendous increase in people all over the world operating online we all want everything at our finger tips. With over 30-40 million people online in Nigeria alone, she has chosen the right time to launch.

“They go to Facebook for connecting with friends. They come to my blog to read the news. They buy and sell things and go to places like Nairaland where they exchange opinions” says Linda.

With a very clear plan for her future and the amazing platform she has created, Linda says she is working towards becoming the new Facebook.

“Facebook is my competition,” says Linda, who has grown in popularity due to her news reporting blog and fashion sense.

This new platform called Linda Ikeji Social has plans to automatically monetise the users who have built up 50,000 followers on their page. The platform will place their clients ad banner on the users page and pay commission to the user from each conversion made from the ad. This cash will be paid out using the “wallet”, this is a section on the website where users can add their bank details to receive payments.

There is also further payouts around 18 pounds for users who create original news content. The aim of this platform is to give back to the online community by implementing these incentives. This could mean that users will make a decent amount of money from the platform. This is the first social media network of it's kind, which seems to have created a massive stir within the Nigeria and rightly so.
