A promising new start-up designed to revolutionise business administration for the self-employed could help boost Britain’s ailing economy.

Pocket PA is a “business in a box” management tool and web-app which simplifies and streamlines appointments and accounts for self-employed small business owners.

The turnkey app allows users to run the administrative end of their business on the go from any phone, tablet or computer.

This includes the ability to manage clients, appointments, sales, income, expenses, accounts and billing all in one place.

Founder and mother-of-four Caroline Syson says she was inspired to create and launch the one-stop solution tool after her oldest daughter started her own lash business.

Caroline said:

“I founded Pocket PA after my daughter Meg became self-employed aged 19, and I realised she would be able to better deliver her core service if she could reduce the workload that comes with the administrative side of her business.

“Pocket PA offers important support to grassroots businesses and would be of real value for anyone who might feel like accounts and paperwork is overwhelming them and holding them back from launching a business or excelling in their profession.

“Given the economic impacts of Covid-19 and the current importance of getting Britain back to work, Pocket PA will help further facilitate access to the jobs market and support anyone moving into self-employment.”

Among the organisations already working with Pocket PA are social enterprises, colleges, secondary schools, accountants and talks are underway with social support groups that assist ex-offenders.
