Heura raises more than €4M in just 12 hours in Crowdfunding Campaign

Heura, the fastest growing plant-based company in Europe, raised more than €4M through its second Equity for Good Rebels crowdfunding campaign using the Crowdcube platform. Having reached its initial goal of €1M in just 30 minutes, more than 4,500 investors from countries including, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and more participated. Flying in the face of the status quo, almost half of investors are 18 - 35 years, and 42% identified as women.

“The response to the Equity for Good Rebels crowdfunding campaign is a proofpoint that as a global community, we can and will uproot the failing food system,” said Food Activist, CEO and Heura Co-Founder Marc Coloma. “We will leverage this milestone to further increase availability to healthy, plant-based foods that better align with the values and needs of today’s society.”

With just around €20 as the minimum to invest, the Equity for Good Rebels campaign, set out to increase the number of Good Rebels who are able to be a part of Heura and open doors to sharing the company’s financial success as it grows. The average investment for the Equity for Good Rebels campaign was €925, raising a total of  more than €4M.

This round of crowdfunding comes on heels of doubling sales in 2021, and increasing world-wide POS by 333%. Accelerating the plant-based protein transition, funds will be used to build the Heura Lab 2.0, generate cutting-edge low footprint technologies, and develop and distribute plant-based foods internationally. Over the course of 2022, Heura is slated to develop up to 10 new product innovations all designed to create animal-meat successors that not only taste amazing but deliver superior nutritional value with clean labels.
