Totalmobile announces CEO Transition

Totalmobile announces CEO Transition

Totalmobile, the UK’s leading independent provider of Field Service Management solutions, today announces a planned change in leadership. Phil Race joins the organisation as the new Totalmobile CEO, after multiple successful previous roles.

The announcement marks the start of a new chapter for Totalmobile, as the business continues to build upon its recent success and growth. Race brings with him extensive experience in software organisations, private equity-backed businesses, and international software enterprises – providing Totalmobile with proven experience in key areas as the business looks to expand into new markets.

The appointment of Race will see current CEO, Jim Darragh, step down after seven years at the head of the business. Joining Totalmobile in 2016, Darragh has led the organisation to deliver significant growth during his term, highlighted by a 500% increase in revenue, 800% growth in EBITDA and establishing Totalmobile as the UK’s market leader in Field Service Management solutions.

To ensure a smooth transition during this period, Darragh will remain in the business until the end of 2023, after which he will take up a position on the board in the role of Deputy Chair.

Commenting on taking up the role of CEO, Race stated, “I am honoured to be joining Totalmobile at this incredibly exciting time. I truly believe that the combination of market leading software, unparalleled industry expertise and an unwavering commitment to customer success, provides this organisation with the opportunity to further establish itself as one of the UK’s leading software businesses.”

“My main goal for 2024 is to build on the incredible job that Jim has done, and lead Totalmobile in its next exciting phase, working closely with clients, colleagues, and the senior leadership team to drive new innovations that affirm our reputation as a market leader, and expand this position on a global scale.”

Jim Darragh commented, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Phil to Totalmobile. His experience of taking software organisations and empowering them to operate at scale makes him a fantastic choice to lead the next stage of Totalmobile’s journey.

I have genuinely loved my time as CEO of Totalmobile. It has been the highlight of my career. I will be forever thankful to the incredible team that has contributed to the company’s success during my tenure. I look forward to watching the next stages of Totalmobile’s growth, as it continues to expand.”

Bowmark Capital, the private equity investor in Totalmobile, expressed its appreciation for Darragh and conveyed its excitement about the company’s future under Race’s leadership. Bowmark Partner, Stephen Delaney, commented: “Jim Darragh has been instrumental in shaping Totalmobile into the market leading software organisation it is today. We thank him for his significant contribution to the company’s success and are delighted that he will continue to be involved in Totalmobile’s future as Deputy Chair. We look forward to working closely with Phil Race as we embark on the next chapter of Totalmobile’s growth.”
