Industry innovation veteran Rutger De Groot joins multiplayer music creation platform Endlesss as co-founder
Multiplayer music creation platform Endlesss appoints industry veteran Rutger De Groot as co-founder.
De Groot has a three-decade track record of driving innovative music creation businesses to commercial success. He served as Ableton’s Commercial Director until 2008, establishing the company as a household name for music producers before joining guitar tech business Line 6, accelerating it towards its sale to Yamaha in 2014, where he became Vice President of International Sales.
As the music industry looks to gaming for new growth blueprints, De Groot sees multiplayer creation as the next evolution in music technology, with Endlesss best positioned to define this huge emerging market. As co-founder, he will lead Endlesss’s commercial strategy and execution across the company’s current and forthcoming product offerings.
“Endlesss is bringing the crucial next piece of the evolution of music technology: the ability to play together online in real-time. Similar to when I joined Ableton, I have strong conviction that Endlesss is the company who will lead the market into this next evolution of music technology. I am excited to once again be part of an innovative revolution in the music Industry.” said De Groot.
Endlesss founder and CEO Tim Exile said: “We’re thrilled to welcome to Endlesss someone who has been so pivotal in driving so many innovations in the music industry to commercial success.
“We’re excited that he sees Endlesss is best placed to lead the charge into this bright future. As gaming wins mindshare in younger generations, there is a huge opportunity to appeal to this new generation by making music something to play together, not just listen to alone.”
