Avin Rabheru is the founder and CEO of Housekeep, an online service for finding experienced home cleaners.
Avin read PPE at Oxford University, where he won the Harold Wilson prize. He then spent 10 years working as a management consultant and venture capital investor. Avin is also an active angel investor, with over 40 investments in some of the UK’s most successful consumer technology businesses including Zipcar and Crowdcube.
In January 2014 Avin used his experience to start Housekeep with just £5,000, one cleaner and a handful of customers. Shortly after launch he raised £1m investment, which won ‘Deal of the Year’ at the UK Business Angels Awards.
Housekeep is now the UK market leader in home cleaning with over 130,000 5* consumer reviews. The business has won multiple awards including ‘Service Business of the Year' at the Startups Awards, and 'Most Impressive Growth' at the UK Business Tech Awards.
