Squirrel Sisters Launch Crowdfunding Campaign

Squirrel Sisters Launch Crowdfunding Campaign

Having launched as a blog in 2014, Sophie & Gracie Tyrrell aka the Squirrel Sisters launched their range of award-winning raw snack bars in 2015.

This is Squirrel Sisters first round of investment. Having been completely self- funded up until now (they used savings to launch).

The Healthy Snacking market is now worth over £365m, with fruit based bars leading it's growth (worth £129m with growth of 9.3% year-on-year). Despite this growth and a huge uplift in the Free From category (over 40% annually) there are few bars which are genuinely natural, sugar-free and widely accessible to consumers. The problem is that it's hard to achieve good taste & satiety credentials at the right price point, yet there is a high demand from consumers for this type of product.

Squirrel Sisters bars are genuinely natural, contain no sugar (or substitutes - certified by Sugarwise). Their bars are now stocked in over 1000 stores across the UK and Europe. Key customers include Boots, Ocado, Morrisons, Whole Foods, Planet Organic and Selfridges with a number of exciting new retailers joining our list soon.

With a social media following (over 20k across platforms) and press coverage from The Week Magazine, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, Vogue, Grazia and SheerLuxe; they achieved over 10million+ circulations over the last year. This resulted in a book deal (launched April 2018) and a 65% growth in sales last year (From £164k in 2016 to £269k in 2017. Net profit in 2017 is £40k).

Ready to invest in a great company and brand, then head over to their crowdfunding page.
